Introduction to AFMC Entrance Test - Armed Forces Medical College
Armed Forces Medical College, Pune is offering M.B.B.S. Course. Free medical education is the main attraction of AFMC.
All the 105 boys and 25 girls admitted to AFMC have compulsory liability to serve as commissioned officers in the Armed Forces Medical Services on graduation. The type of Comission will depend upon the vacancies available and merit cum option the final MBBS examination. The liability of Short Service Commissioned Officers would be seven years. All candidates admitted to the college are required to excute a bond to this effect for an Amount of Rs 15 lacs at the time of admission. The Govt will provide Free accommodation and entitiled rations, subsidised messing, AC 3 Tier free railway warrant from college to home and back during vacations, a book subsidy of Rs.12,000 during entire training period, uniform allowance Rs.6,000 and Rs 1250 per year as maintance allowance.
Eligibility
AFMC is conducting a separate Entrance Examination for selecting the students. The wriiten test includes questions in biology, physics, chemistry, intelligence, reasoning and English language. Candiates selected in the Written Test will be called for the interview. Only unmarried candiates are eligible the apply and medically fit. Applicants must have passed 10+2 Examination in the first attempt itself and B.Sc. graduates are also elgible to apply.
